natural makeup look

Achieving the right look with makeup can be a task for some of us. Most women want to look natural, yet flawless in our makeup. With a few easy steps and tricks, it is possible to look beautiful yet natural without appearing plain and washed out.

# wash your face, dry your face and then apply your favorite face cream (preferably non-greasy, otherwise your face will look greasy and your makeup could run).

# To get a natural, dewy complexion, skip the heavy foundation and powders. Instead, apply moisturizer and dab concealer under your eyes and on any blemishes, blending thoroughly. If you need additional coverage, opt for a tinted moisturizer.

# Try cream instead of powder blush. It blends easily, giving you a natural glow, unlike powders which can streak or look too heavy. Cream blush is available in sticks and gels. Simply glide along your cheekbone and blend upwards towards your hair line. Nars cream blush in Orgasm and Tarte gel in Blushing Bride are both good picks.

#If you need a little more color, apply bronzer with a large, poufy brush. A little goes a long way! Sweep the brush along your forehead, cheekbones, and along the bridge of your nose - all the places where the sun would naturally kiss.

# Highlight your eyes. If you have pale skin, choose an eye shadow in a gold tone with subtle shimmer. If you have darker skin, opt for copper or cocoa. Apply a sheer layer along your lash line, blending into the crease of your eye. This will create a little depth but it won't be obvious you are wearing eye shadow. .

# Apply mascara to your eyelashes and immediately brush them with an eyebrow/eyelash brush to get rid of clumps. For curlier eyelashes use an eyelash curler before applying mascara. If you like to wear a bit of eyeliner, choose a dark brown color and apply just a bit at the upper right outside corners.

# Apply a neutral colored shade of lipstick and blot lips on a paper towel. Finish look by applying a clear lip gloss to lips. You can also use a neutral colored tinted lip gloss instead of lipstick.

Check your makeup look in natural light to make sure all color is well-blended. Lift your chin and check under the jawline for any obvious edges of color. Blend with fingertips.
